The Palestinian economy has been under long-standing Israeli occupation and restrictions. This study examines Palestine’s economic structure within a political economy framework, analyzing the factors shaping its current situation and the obstacles to its development. In particular, the developments following October 7 have further increased the fragility of the Palestinian economy. This study provides a detailed examination of the macroeconomic indicators of the Palestinian economy, utilizing data from institutions such as the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and the World Bank. By analyzing the economic consequences of the conflict and the impact of Israeli-imposed restrictions, the study discusses the structural barriers to Palestine’s sustainable economic growth. Additionally, it evaluates proposed policies and solutions for the recovery of the Palestinian economy. In conclusion, for Palestine’s economic development, it is essential to lift the blockade, promote free trade agreements, increase infrastructure investments, and strengthen international cooperation. The reconstruction of the Palestinian economy should be supported by sustainable development strategies and regional integration. In this context, the study provides a comprehensive assessment of the policies that will shape the future of the Palestinian economy.
